Pokemon Leagues

Pokemon Leagues consist of a few different types of events, casual play, League Challenges, and League Cups.

These three types of events make up local level competitive Pokemon TCG Play.

Casual play is usually either free play or $5 entry to help get players acclimated to playing in tournament settings. These events also do not count for points on individual trainer accounts but are integral to the health of the game overall.

League Challenges are a step above and run once a month. These events are usually $10 entry and do offer points based placement for individual trainer accounts.

League cups are the highest level tournament local stores are able to run, and they are available quarterly. These are usually $20 entry and offer a higher number of points for individual trainer accounts based on placement.

Sponsorships

Tier One

Tier One sponsorships are available to players who are placing high in local events outside of casual play, in regional events, and who have good sportsmanship and community involvement.

As a Tier One player, sponsorship includes travel per diems, official player shirts, Dragon Shield Sleeves, and entry fee coverage.

These players are expected to wear and utilize their branded merchandise, maintain good conduct, and participate in the community and local events.

Tier Two

Tier Two players are selected out of regular players who place well in local events, have a great attitude, and participate regularly in all manner of local events.

These players can expect to receive entry fees, official player shirts, and Dragon Shield Sleeves.

Players on this level will be expected to maintain excellent sportsmanship and community involvement. Players are also expected to wear their branded merchandise at sponsored events.
